โฆ Tab Tidy does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything stays on your device.
What we access
Tab Tidy requests the following browser permissions:
- tabs โ to read the URLs of your open tabs so they can be grouped by category. Tab URLs are processed locally in your browser and never sent anywhere.
- tabGroups โ to create, name, and color-code tab groups within your browser window.
- storage โ to save your custom category settings (names, colors, URL patterns) locally using Chrome's built-in sync storage. This data stays within your Google account's sync and is never accessed by us.
What we do NOT do
- We do not collect any personal information
- We do not track browsing history
- We do not send any data to external servers
- We do not use analytics or telemetry
- We do not sell or share any data with third parties
- We have no backend servers or databases
Data storage
Your category preferences are stored using chrome.storage.sync, which is a browser-native API. This syncs your settings across your own devices via your browser's built-in sync โ it is governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours.
